DIY Natural Lip Balm: Simple Recipe and Benefits

You are going to need:

  • 1 tablespoon of a carrier oil (coconut oil, almond oil, or jojoba)
  • 1 teaspoon of beeswax or other vegetable wax
  • 1 teaspoon of Shea Butter
  • 3-4 drops of your favorite essential oil
  • A double boiler or two pots to use as one.
  • 1 drop of vitamin E (to keep it fresh longer)

Instructions:

In the double boiler add the wax, carrier oil, and Shea butter, heat at low temperature until all ingredients melt. remove double boiler from the heat and let it cool for one minute. Then, add the essential oil and mix to incorporate the fragrance.

Pour the mixture into a clean sterilize glass container for lip balms. Let the lip balm cool down and solidify before use.
